How To Gain Velocity And Bat Speed

Before creating this post, I did a Google search and came up with hundreds of exercises and drills that are “guaranteed” to increase your velocity or bat speed.  I’m sure you’ve done the same and while almost any drill or exercise could potentially increase your velocity and bat speed it’s probably not going to.

“Why not?” you ask.

Well for one…increasing velocity and bat speed is NOT easy.  There is a lot that goes into it like mechanics, nutrition, sleep, recovery, mobility, strength, power, etc.  Besides, if every exercise or velocity guru’s claims were true wouldn’t everyone be throwing 90 mph and hitting  450 foot homeruns?

Another reason that most people don’t gain velocity or bat speed is that they don’t create a plan and if they do, they don’t execute that plan.

But that doesn’t make it impossible…just not likely for the average player.  But what if a player set a goal and then worked 5 days a week and gave 100% towards that goal?  And what if the program he followed was a comprehensive one that covered everything we talked about earlier?  Would it work then?

Turns out it would and it does.  You see at Diamond Dreams we’ve created such a program and have been increasing velocity and bat speed for quite some time now.  And we do it in a way that is both safe and effective.  We don’t buy into the hype that just doing one exercise or drill will get you the speed and power you’re looking for. Instead we focus on anything and everything that will improve a player’s game and performance and we’ve combined it into a program for highly motivated players.

And we’ve been getting results. We’ve averaged over 6 mph per player and we’ve had 36 players join our 90 mph club.  The highest velocity to date is 97 mph, and the highest bat speed is 100 mph.

So it is entirely possible to gain velocity and bat speed.  If you’re excited about the opportunity to work alongside other players who share the same passion and determination as you, then this program is for you.

Call or email us to get more information on the upcoming program at Diamond Dreams. This program is for players 13 and older. Too young for this program?  We also have a velocity program for the younger players, too!
