Christian Walker – Arizona Diamondbacks 1st Baseman

“Just wanted to drop you a quick line to let you know that Phil is pitching in college as a freshman. The instruction he received at Diamond Dreams has been key to his learning and development as a pitcher and as a team player.  The coach was impressed with his composure, work ethic and positive attitude – all of which were instilled upon him through the years by his instructors at Diamond Dreams.

Thank you for creating a wonderful environment for kids to develop not only baseball skills but values and attitude that will extend into their everyday lives.”

“Skylar smashed a line drive to left field that cleared both fences.  It was a two run homer against Christopher Dock.  Just wanted to thank you for the major improvement in her hitting.  That was just Skylar’s 2nd home run ever in 6 years of playing.  And it comes 2 games into her school ball season.  I doubt it’s coincidence that this homer comes after an off season of lessons at Diamond Dreams.  I can’t thank you guys enough.  Diamond Dreams might be the best money I’ve ever spent on softball. Skylar’s results are a credit to your coaching.  It works.”

Diamond Dreams helps make a girl’s dream of playing Division 1 Softball come true!  DD helped give our daughter the tools she needed – physically and mentally – to be awarded an athletic scholarship to attend Youngstown State University.  In her freshman year (while hoping to get some playing time) she ended up being the starting left fielder.  This was earned through many hours of hard work and dedication.  She was honored to be voted by the Horizon League Coaches as the 2014 Horizon League Freshman of the Year.  She had 29 runs, 29 rbi’s and 8 home runs – 2 of which were grand slams – for the year!”

“Nate plays rec and travel baseball with Audubon.  The previous summer Nate played well but hit .250 during the tournaments.  He wasn’t satisfied with the results, so he wanted to work on his swing and approach to the plate over the winter.  He then signed up for the 10 week Baseball for Life program that winter and worked very hard to change his approach.  Jon was great with the kids and spent a lot of quality time with each one to adjust and fix the holes.  As a result of the program, Nate entered the Spring 2014 season on a tear and eventually lead his travel team in batting average, finishing the year at .480!”

“Brennan had the opportunity of working with two motivators, Coach Jon and Coach Mike and learned many useful pointers from them both. They truly captured Brennan’s personality and athletic ability and used that information to teach him.  During his lessons, he worked on batting and pitching.  We would hear the ping of the bat hitting the ball, in our backyard in the early morning hours as he practiced what he was taught.  His teacher also told us that he would stand at his desk, in line, wherever, practicing his swing or pitch.  Brennan didn’t think pitching was his thing but decided to learn key points and now he loves the pressure of pitching!

Brennan is looking forward to the upcoming Baseball 4 Life program and we, as parents, are looking forward to watching him grow and smile on the ball field.  Thank you Diamond Dreams for keeping it a FUN learning experience!”
